Top eight things I love about my daughter

Nothing new has happened lately, I thought we were moving back to AZ at the end of September but it turns out we're staying here another month. Its been extremely hard since I'm the only girl out here, so its just been me and Brooklyn hanging out everyday. Luckily I love her more than anything in the world and I love every second I get to spend with her, she just recently found her voice and has been talking non-stop so it kind of feels like I have a friend to talk to out here:)
I decided to do a list of the top eight things I love about my daughter:

1. I love how she is so cuddly in the morning, it only lasts a couple of minutes before she is trying to sit up on her own and look around but I absolutely love the few minutes I do get with her.

2. I love how independent she is already. I was extremely independent growing up, I was potty trained by 16 months! I love that she takes after me in this way, she always wants to be sitting up by herself, she hates it when I hold her up, she is definitely going to be a handfull when she gets older.

3. I love how much she loves her daddy. She will cry and stare at him until he looks at her and then she will smile and start gabbing away. She loves him so much, its so precious.

4. I love bath time, I don't know why this is one of my favorite times, it just seems like we bond so much when she is getting a bath. There are less distractions and its very calming for her.

5. I love how sweet and innocent she is. We were out at the store the other day and there was a homeless looking lady walking around, I remember thinking "I hope she doesn't come talk to us" right as she started walking over. She went over to Brooklyn and as soon as Brooklyn saw the lady, her face lit up with a huge smile, you could tell it really made that lady's day. It really humbled me and reminded me of the childlike love I should have for everyone, to love everyone regardless of looks, personality, or even if they don't deserve it.

6. I love how she gave my life purpose. I really can't believe what I lived for before Brooklyn came into my life. I was an extremely selfish person that only cared about myself. Since Brooklyn came she has become my life, I eat, sleep, breath her. For the whole first month of her life I remember only showering every couple of days, and I was lucky if I got dressed in something other than my PJs. I love it though, she gave me the motivation to become a better person.

7. I love how much I love her. I know this sounds weird but the other day Brooklyn had been taking a longer than normal nap (it had been 2 1/2 hours) and I went and woke her up solely because I missed her. That was the day I realized that I was completely in love with her. I've always known that I love her but you never realize how much you love someone until they are gone. She wasn't gone she was just sleeping but that is the longest she hasn't been with me besides night time. She was extremely crabby after that and I learned my lesson, never wake a sleeping baby!

8. I love how she watches everything I do. She is so intrigued by everything I do, it makes me feel so special. She watches my mouth when I talk to her, and she loves to watch me eat. I just love the new stage of life she is getting into where she is so much more observant of what is going on around her.

Teething

Brooklyn is already teething, she is only 9 weeks old! I noticed yesterday when I was holding her that I had drool all over my hand and she was trying to bite me. She has pretty bad reflux which causes her not to drool at all so I knew something was up. Sure enough theres too little teeth coming it!

2 Months Old!

Brooklyn is already two months old! I can't believe how big she is getting. She's already doubled her birth weight and she can hold up her head on her own now. We've been doing a lot of driving since she was born, first from Springfield, MO to Laredo, Tx then from Laredo to Memphis and then we went to visit my family in Springfield and now are finally back. Lucky she is one of the best riders, she loves to look out the window for hours so it makes the trip so much easier.
Here are some pictures of her from the past month:
We got to go see the Cowboy's practice with our friends Issac and Jessica and little Phoenix

Bathtime!
This one is my favorite, she loves to pout if she isn't being held.

Brooklyn Kenzie Butterfield

Brooklyn finally came, I went into labor the night before I was suppose to be induced. Labor was complete hell, she got stuck in my birth canal, I was pushing for 5 hours before she came. And I finally got my epidural when I was 7 CM dilated but then they ending up stopping it two hours later so I could feel when to push, so in the end I felt everything. She is worth every second of the pain though!
Today she is 5 weeks old, I can't believe how fast she is growing up! Here are some pictures from the hardest and most amazing 5 weeks of my life...

Brooklyn's coming!

I've been putting off starting this blog for way too long now, so with Brooklyn on the way any day now I decided now would be the best time to start it. I'm almost 38 weeks now and each day seems to get harder and harder to carry her, I swear she is gaining half a pound a day! I've been taking pictures of myself each week but haven't posted any because its really hard to see how bloated and big I've gotten but its something I've started to accept.

Here I am at 35 weeks:

And then here are some pictures of Brooklyn at her 19th week ultrasound:

And two videos, the first one is my favorite because shes talking to herself and then in the second on she is playing with the umbilical cord:
